Content Managment System

A Content Management System or CMS is a great way of putting you in control of your website. It allows you to add, edit or delete pages from your website without any knowledge of Web Design or HTML.

In the past making changes to your website would have involved contacting the designer, who would then make the necessary changes and then bill you. This generally worked out quite well for the designer but not so good for the website owner. For lots of smaller businesses paying for updates on their sites was not the highest priority so over time the site got neglected and information became dated.

A content management system changes that. In effect your site is designed around a framework into which the pages fit. This gives you, the website owner, the options to login and make changes to the wording, update pictures, add latest news etc without having to know anything about design. If you can use a word processor, blog or facebook you already possess most of the skills required to update your site once it's built. We also provide Video Tutorials to show you how to do this.

To put it into perspective, imagine that we design your house, build it and then on completion you, the owner, come in and move the furniture around without having to pay for it.

We build our sites using a framework called Joomla, which is one of the most widely used and stable content management systems available.
